I completed my 130th blog post recently! Yep, I started in January of 2010, and I’m still at it!
Now I think this is pretty impressive, but what’s it to you?!
Writing a blog is a classic Quadrant II activity. For those of you who are not Stephen Covey fans, this is an activity which is important but not urgent. There is always laundry to do, emails to answer, or meetings to attend. The ROI is questionable, and frankly there are days when I am not especially inspired. And really, who reads my blog?
But despite the obstacles, I do it anyway—week after week– since the first of 2010.
The secret to this achievement is simple–face the Resistance and do the work anyway.
If I can post 10+ blogs a month, then you can do whatever it is that you’re trying to accomplish—despite doubts, difficulty, derision, sleep deprivation, or disinterest.
Think about Resistance in your life. How is it stopping you from accomplishing your goals?
