The National Education Association’s (NEA) Read Across America is an annual reading motivation and awareness program that calls for every child in every community to celebrate reading on March 2, the birthday of beloved children’s author Dr. Seuss.
Did someone read to you as a child? My mom read almost all of the Oz books to me and my brother. ( No small commitment as The Wonderful Wizard of OZ is merely the first of 26 Oz books!) Share your love of reading with a child, and check out the NEA website for more activities and information about this initiative.
