Earlier this week, I saw some fine photos of a home in the MLS. As a Realtor, I know how important it is to post high quality photos of your property online as 89% of buyers utilize the internet in their home search. (Stat from the 2010 National Association of Realtors Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers) A picture is truly worth a thousand words (or dollars!)
In this case, the name of the photographer was embedded on each image. Excellent, I thought, I’ll Google her. Hmm. No hits. I searched Nashville photographers. No hits. After a few more searches, I gave up.
I probably won’t pursue this photographer. How serious can the gal be about her business if she doesn’t show up in a single Google search? Lesson: if you don’t have a web presence, you are invisible. Worse, you may not be considered a real professional.
What is your standing in a Google search?
