As an entrepreneur or small business owner, have you considered writing a blog or creating a facebook fan page, but don’t know where to begin? I know, the whole social media thing can be overwhelming!
There is plenty of advice out there, but much of it is puffery. Not so the following three sites, which offer sound advice for the beginner and the advanced social media maven.
Each includes more information than I can possibly highlight, so I encourage you to dive in and see what resonates with you!
Copyblogger is one of the giants in the content marketing world and justifiably so. Founder Brian Clark and colleague Sonia Simone are geniuses in my book. I am a devoted reader of their blog.
The site includes free tutorials and good information about WordPress, which is the Copyblogger blogging platform of choice. I also recommend their free online marketing course, Internet Marketing for Smart People, a 20 part course and ongoing email newsletter.
ProBlogger is the other behemoth in this world. Founder and Editor Darren Rowse is a full time blogger and photographer (The Digital Photography School.)

For WordPress users, The Blogger’s Essential WordPress Guide: 13 Top Tutorials (free) is a compilation of past posts.
Chris Brogan’s site is as informative as CopyBlogger and ProBlogger, but more personal. The author of several books (Trust Agents) and president of Human Business Works, Brogan talks about business, technology, and personal development. I subscribe to both his blog and his free weekly newsletter.
