Earlier this week, I received a Thanksgiving greeting from painter Moe Hill. This was not a store-bought Thanksgiving card with the name of his firm printed across the bottom, but a chatty, personal, and appreciative letter.
And to top it off, Moe added a handwritten note with a book recommendation. That’s knowing your client!
What painter am I recommending to all of my friends and clients? Elmore Hill, Jr. Painting, Inc. 615.297.5454.
Composing this letter certainly took Moe more time than it would to order cards from American Stationery, but wow, what a difference.
Every seminar we attend, every business book we read reminds us to show our clients some appreciation. Seems pretty obvious. These are the folks who not only pay our bills, but provide valuable referrals, repeat business, and offer constructive feedback. But many of us are woefully negligent in this regard.
Have you thanked your customers lately?
