Some of you may be familiar with speaker, author, coach, and entrepreneur Scott Ginsberg. He is “That Guy With The Nametag. “ Literally. Mr. Ginsberg has worn a nametag since November 2000. That is his “shtick, “a word by the way that he hates. But there it is.
So what can a young man whose entire claim to fame is wearing a nametag tell me or anyone else about marketing or business success? Quite a bit actually.
Mr. Ginsberg’s latest book is Stick Yourself Out There/Get Business to Come to You. I would not say Mr. Ginsberg is our decade’s most thoughtful business writer. Jim Collins or for that matter Malcolm Gladwell will not be threatened.
This double feature book perfectly illustrates Mr. Ginsberg’s strengths and weaknesses. It is full of practical business advice, but it is also a bit gimmicky (a double- feature/flip-flop book!) and a little too breezy. I enjoyed the book, but rather than take my word for it, read some of his blog posts and see for yourself if his information is useful to you.
