The Case of the Love Commandos by Tarquin Hall
At the request of his colleague Facecream, Vish Puri, India’s “Most Private Investigator,” is persuaded to help the Love Commandos, an all-volunteer organization which helps mixed-caste couples. When one of the young lovers is kidnapped from a safe house, the case becomes more than a family affair.
On top of star-crossed lovers, Vish copes with a particularly baffling jewelry heist, his meddlesome Mummy-ji, who investigates while on a pilgrimage to Trikuta Mountain, and his archrival Hari Kumar, detective to the “creamy layer “of Delhi. Really it is enough to drive Vish to the nearest dhaba!
