Children of the Revolution by Peter Robinson
The death of reclusive Gavin Miller on an abandoned railway line seems inexplicable until Detective Chief Inspector Alan Banks rummages through the former college lecturer’s past—forty years past. Along with the help of DI Annie Cabbot and several good bottles of wine, Banks solves the case but not before deeply annoying the powers that be who want the past to stay there.
As much novel as police procedural, Peter Robinson’s long running Inspector Banks series is justifiably addictive.
